Sponsorship is essential for many volunteer clubs, but keeping sponsors engaged can be challenging. This free session will show you how to make sponsorship more appealing and valuable, and how to demonstrate genuine appreciation.
The session covers:
- Creating a practical digital sponsorship retention strategy
- Using social media and your website to promote sponsors
- Fresh ideas for running successful sponsorship days.

Online Grants and Funding Workshop
Clubs Tasmania, in partnership with CLUBMAP, is hosting an online grant writing workshop in February.
This practical session will help you get grant-ready and provide clear guidance on applying for funding, no matter the size of your club.
The session will cover:
- How to prepare for grant applications
- Tips for writing strong submissions
- Useful guides and tools
- Upcoming grant opportunities.
You will have the chance to ask questions and discuss any applications you are working on.

Governance workshops
Build your skills in governance through a practical, hands‑on workshop for community sport and recreation organisations.
These workshops will help you:
- understand your organisation’s legal status and obligations
- learn the role of the committee and individual committee members
- engage effectively with members and stakeholders
- plan for success, including operations, goals and budgets
- identify and manage risk
- understand and manage conflicts.

- East Launceston Bowls Club – Monday 13 April 2026, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- Hobart Athletics Centre – Tuesday 14 April 2026, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- Hobart Athletics Centre – Thursday 16 April 2026, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- Ninja Stadium – Friday 17 April 2026, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Who is facilitating the workshops
The workshops will be delivered by Committee members who are graduate or recently admitted practising lawyers. They will be joined by Dr Rachel Baird, Founder of the Governance Hub.
This is a great opportunity for committee members and volunteers to build confidence, improve capability and strengthen governance practices.
