Women in Sport Stories
Active Tasmania is excited to celebrate women and girls in sport and active recreation across Tasmania. We wanted to show women who lead, women in their communities, and women supporting other women.
This project seeks to uncover and uplift those who lead by example—whether they play, coach, officiate, volunteer, or organise. The quiet achievers and community champions whose stories deserve to be seen and heard.
Lifting the profile of women and girls in sport and active recreation is crucial in creating a sustainable and positive future in Tasmania. By building and maintaining positive relationships within sporting organisations, clubs and active recreation groups all women and girls in Tasmania will be able to not only participate but thrive.
